Woman killed in vehicle crash outside Faulkner Hospital building is identified

The crash outside the Belkin House, a freestanding building at the Jamaica Plain hospital, remained under investigation, but no criminal charges have been filed, prosecutors said.

A 68-year-old woman who was killed by an SUV that crashed into the bench where she was sitting outside a Faulkner Hospital building on Thursday has been identified.

The woman who was struck and killed by an SUV that crashed outside a building at the campus of Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Boston Thursday has been identified.

Dorchester resident Patricia McGrath, 68, was the woman who died, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said Friday.

They also shared that the crash outside the Belkin House, a freestanding building at the Jamaica Plain hospital, remained under investigation, but that no criminal charges had been filed.

Police have previously said they believed the crash to be a tragic accident, not intentional. Two occupants of the SUV that crashed were also taken inside Faulkner Hospital, with minor injuries.
